Membership Benefits include:
- Weekly email updates are sent to our members keeping them up to date on the activities of the CVCAG and our member groups. We will also forward any calls for entry or openings that we receive from other arts councils.
- Printed updates mailed monthly to members without email.
- We have a website anyone can refer to for further information.
- Members with websites are listed on the links / directory page.
- We can provide a tremendous amount of networking opportunities for all aspects of the cultural community. Including contact with other galleries and other arts councils.
- Updates and contact with BC Arts Council and other funders.
- Free rental of the Muir Gallery space for member events.
- CVCAC will act as the agency of record for member groups who need access to a charitable registration number when applying for grants.
- Discounted event insurance.
- Exclusive Calls for Entry to the Muir Gallery, the Airport Exhibit and the Hospital Exhibit.
- BRAND NEW MEMBER BENEFIT: The CVCAC is introducing a new member benefit! We will be offering the use of our credit card processing services to our members. We are able to process VISA, AMEX, Mastercard and Diners Club for rates much lower that individual small business rates. We are hoping that this service will allow those artists who pursue sales to open up to a broader market. Membership Supports:
Your membership helps to support arts and culture in this community. We have supported many projects, events and groups throughout our 42 years of activity. Projects such as the Mural Mentorship Project, Kidsfest, and Local Colours were on this year’s line up. We have supported dozens of projects in the past and continue to work as facilitators for the arts community.
The Muir Gallery continues to play a major role in the work of the Arts Council. Not only does it support emerging artists in our community, as many of our local artists have had their first solo shows with us, but the Muir acts as a meeting place, workshop space and general purpose utility closet for all types of cultural activities in our community.
